When you’re stuck in a rut, don’t wait around for things to change on their own. Get up and go. Whether it be a week away to visit friends or a summer in a different city. Sometimes, you can reach your limits in one place — you’ve taken all you can and given way more than what you thought possible. Don’t get caught up in the logistics, or let the thought of traveling send you into a frenzy.
It’s a basic comparison, but think of a letter that you write, seal and stick in the mail. This piece of stationary zips around via car, plane or boat, and ends up in a totally new location. It’s such a simple concept, but shows the necessity of a change of place, pace and space.
Time away makes you appreciate where you came from and can bring you a whole new sense of renewal. Change your scenery, change your location, and open your mind.
